Of course the petulant, pious folks have invaded the comments section to cry about how much they hate it. But much more people love it, which is drowning the idiots out.

What did you guys think of the film? Was it cute? Lame?

Animation was cool and they obviously spent s good amount of time on it and idk how hard that is so good job.

But seriously it's only viral at all because gay kids.
People only give it so many props because gay kids. People Compliment it more than it deserves so they don't seem like they hate gay kids lol.

Yeah.

Eh, their budget is paltry compared to Pixar. Furthermore, this is a short film, not a full length one. There is only so much you can do.

Perhaps some people do like it because it's gay. But I also think a lot of people like it because it's extremely heart-felt and human. Who hasn't been in those character's shoes? I think everyone has.

It's a great video.

And yes, the gay part helps it stand out for sure. I won't deny it's likely part of the reason it won so many awards and went viral. But it's also very well done and even if it was a straight couple people would have found is adorable.

Twenty years ago, it would have popped up on religious websites right alongside pokemon and Doom.

Thirty years ago, it would have been completely unnoticed in the the back of the video store, in that little room behind the beaded curtain.

Forty years ago, it would have been considered a joke.

Fifty years ago, it would have been the lead story on the evening news.

Sixty years ago, everyone involved would have been arrested.

I'm not sure my spiritual beliefs have anything to do with me feeling repulsed by the thought of 2 men being romantic with each other. In fact I'm quite certain it's pretty normal for most straight guys to experience some level of repulsion when being visually exposed to romance between 2 men. Doubt many people would be willing to admit that though, in today's politically correct world.

I want to add to my previous post... being repulsed by someone's sexual activity doesn't mean you hate them. Example... your parents had sex. Do you like to think about that? Would you say it repulses you to think about them having sex? If it repulses you does that mean you hate your parents?

Of course not. I don't hate gay people. And what I believe is wrong and right also does not affect how I treat people who are doing things that I believe are immoral. Everyone, including myself, does things that I consider to be immoral. We all have issues. I don't hate people just because they're different.

You claim that seeing two male characters in love makes you cringe and feel sick.

I think most straight guys don't mind seeing that. It's only when they see sex between two men that they feel sick (much in the same way gay couples might feel after seeing a straight couple have sex, or in the way that straight women might feel when seeing lesbians have sex).

I'm simply asking you if you think your religion exacerbates those feelings. Isn't it plausible? You're instilled at the earliest age that gay = bad.

Here is the thing about this "film".

The two people could have been a man/women, women/women, or man/man (as it is) and I still would think it was corny and stupid.

I didn't enjoy it, nor would i enjoy it in any other form. It doesn't bother me, but it certainly isn't engaging.

I think that was more of the kid(s) insecurity of being closeted more than them actually judging, like it was how he imagined everyone was looking at them but not really did so, this is what I got from it, it's how I feel. I know no one gives a s***, but there is that feeling inside of me anyway.
