I personally feel like the percentage of people that make up the category of Neo-nazis or Alt-right is so minuscule that its not that grave of a concern as the media is making it out t be. I would like to believe America is far past such ideologies at this point and that these fringe groups are just an extremely vocal minority. Thoughts?

I generally agree with you, TC. The far right is given far more attention than its numbers deserve.

The alt-right may just be a very outspoken minority, but that doesn't mean we can ignore them. Especially not after they have literally taken a life.

It was a rally in a relatively small town with a proportionately small amount of participants that an OVERWHELMING amount of the country, to include whites, disagreed with and thought was appalling.
If it seemed like it had any impact at all it was a byproduct of the media plastering these hicks all over the front page. Giving them too much attention imo. It just sucks because it's a reminder that these kind of people are out there, and it reminds us that while progress has been made we still have a ways to go.

I have a good friend of about 10 years who lives there, and she got threatened by one of those f***ing Christian bastards. Thankfully nothing came of it, but their cowardice at least keeps them somewhat in check.

We have been stagnant for a long time TC. We have inhabited this planet for thousands of years and have had numerous chances to get it right......we should be well beyond racism, greed, war, and all of the other ills of society.

Exaggerated statement but I think theres some truth there.
