This is so simple.
People need to be disqualified on an individual basis. If that means no open trans person passes the grade then that is ok because it has nothing to do with them being trans.

They have mental illness because they live in a society where being transgender/dual spirited, etc. etc. is seen AS a mental illness, and they end up with anxiety and all sorts of problems due to that.
Because people like the f***ing president of the United States doesn't even attempt to educate himself on the issue, which allows MILLIONS of people to turn off their brains and just blindly believe something is obviously wrong with them.

imo there should be a standard military physical requirement.
Same for both men and women. Non of this lower physical requirements for women nonsense. If you can meet those requirements then you should be in. |

No, and I'm sick of the right and the left coming to the dumbest conclusions about issues like this. The military paying for gender reassignment or banning transgender people from enlisting aren't the only two f***ing options here.
On another note, I've heard some military official went to Trump personally about getting this s***ty thing done. Is that legit? Because if it is, it's damn scary the military can just get the president to agree with whatever they want.

About SUICIDE...
I was in the military 4 years and plenty of people tried the easy way out. Most, but not all failed. We even had one guy try to take all the aspirin from the dispensary to do it. That one got me mad as I would slide by for a couple if I was even hungover in the morning. One guy that I didn't know, but at the same command att drank bleach. -_- Hardcore s*** right there. At any rate, being transgender in the military wouldn't be a higher risk of suicide imo. Naturally if hormone shots are involved, this could lead to more trouble though just getting in.

If I can think of a reason for people being against transgenders serving its that the military is paying for gender transition plan.
Why should the military - essentially all taxpayers - be responsible to pay for gender transition plans? It is understandable if our laws require military service to be mandatory but the US military is volunteer. Essentially, its not necessary to have to pay for gender transition plans since we have other willing volunteers.
