Call me a cynic but I think when these celebrities come out strongly in favour of someone it's a calculated move for their fanbase. If Eminem had a strong opinion that might upset some fans he would mostly keep it to himself, certainly not give ultimatums about it. It's all about the fanbase.
It seems possible to me that he is thinking of running for office as a democrat himself. Trump proved that celebrities with zero political experience could do it. Then it would all make a lot of sense.

I also think had a lot to do with the issues he had with his ex-wife and trying to raise his daughter Hayley and being a good example for her, plus he adopted that other girl? his niece or something? and I think on the Marshal Mathers LP 2 he talks about his younger brother living with him a lot as well when Nathan was younger....
