When he refused to cooperate with the search, they just let him go saying that had no PC(probable cause)...it's hard to say the man deserved to die but they simply reaped the rewards of their actions that day. The 19-year-old Texas Tech student accused of shooting dead a campus police officer had been pulled over hours earlier due to reports he made terrorist threats, according to a new report. Hollis Daniels pulled out a gun and fatally shot Texas Tech Officer Floyd East Jr. at the school’s police headquarters in Lubbock, Texas, on Monday night after drugs were found in his room, according to the school’s spokesperson Chris Cook. It has since been revealed that Daniels encountered Lubbock Police much earlier that day during a traffic stop, according to sources who spoke to KCBD. Police pulled Daniels over early Monday morning after receiving a report that he stole a firearm and made a terrorist threat, KCBD reported. It remains unclear who called the police. When Daniels refused to have his car searched by Lubbock Police, officers sent him on his way, concluding they did not have probable cause to do so, according to KCBD. Hours later, his suitemates reported he was acting erratically, and Daniels’ mother called the school requesting officials check on her suicidal son, Newsweek reported. Texas Tech police found drugs and drug paraphernalia in his room, although Daniels wasn’t there at the time for the welfare check, Cook revealed And of course was never cuffed or patted down even though he was making threats, acting so crazy that the cops were called 3 times and he was apparently suicidal and had stolen a gun. Most white crime victims are victims of white criminals, etc. How can such a presumption be possible anywhere? Even a cop working in a mixed area surely has experienced some form of violence or criminality from a white person...so something like this should be taken seriously or at least go by the book. A warrant may not have been issued, so they couldn't just stop him to search his vehicle. They would have needed to have something like a traffic violation to allow them to escalate the reason for the stop.
