He and others like him rallied so they could exist with the same basic human rights as a part of society. The current clime of social justice spits in the face of all civil rights activists that came before, with their constant vying for safe-spaces, hug boxes, cry corners, and race/gender/sexual orientation exclusive events. It's nothing more than self-perpetuated segregation promoting a constant us vs them mentality which is the antithesis of what all civil rights movements were initially about. It's mutated from being about equal rights to being about special rights, gradually turning into Harrison Bergeron. Rather than solving our own problems, we look for a boogeyman to blame. Rather than fighting for an equal playing field based on merits we try and bring everyone else down a few notches on the totem pole. When you frame your battles as special rights rather than human rights, you garner no empathy from those you're trying to convince, and only hurt your own cause. And that's why so many people refer to it as cultural Marxism: it's a never ending, self-fuelling battle/revolution. It doesn't have an end-game. It just moves on to the next perceived oppressor until ultimately itself becomes the oppressor and cannibalizes itself. Martin Luther King had a dream. A goal. Which is more than can be said of people today.

If you factor in the fact that a violent crime is 9 times more likely to be committed by a black person, it's even worse. BLM is lying to you, dude. If it's just about human rights, they wouldn't be actively campaigning for race-based segregation, allowing black people to commit more crimes, no firearms for police, or white people forfeiting real estate to black people.
